RICHARD SIDEY BDES (hon)

Born in Dunedin, New Zealand, I first picked up a video camera at age 11 and have since had a passion for photography and the moving image.

Growing up in New Zealand, I soon developed a love for the outdoors and subsequently became a keen snowboarder, tramper and mountain biker. Taking a camera with me on these expeditions added another element for me and spawned my portfolio of landscape photograpghy.

In 2004 I completed a degree in Visual Communication Design at Massey University, Wellington. For my final year ßproject I created the time lapse film 'Aeon' which went on to win a DOCNZ award in 2005 and an international ACFF award in West Virginal, 2007.
